Litchfield Veterinary Clinic

How May We Help You?

We offer many different options to help care for your pet!

Yearly Wellness Exams

It is recommended that all pets receive a yearly wellness exam by a Veterinarian. Wellness exams allow our veterinarians to detect problems and diseases that might go undiagnosed otherwise, including heart murmurs, tumors, enlarged organs, cataracts, ear infections, ear mites, dental disease, skin issues, allergies and more.

Dental Cleanings

Dental health is a very important part of your pet’s overall health, and dental problems can cause, or be caused by, other health problems. Our dental cleanings include pulling of infected teeth, removal of tarter, and polishing of all the teeth. An oral/health exam is required up to 6 months before dental procedure.

Vaccines

To protect your pet from contagious diseases, keep his/her essential vaccinations up-to-date. This is important even if your pet is kept mostly indoors. There is also always a risk that your pet could accidentally slip out the door. Boarding kennels, dog parks, veterinary clinics and grooming salons are all areas where your pet is likely to be exposed to contagious diseases. It is also important to keep in mind that vaccinations take a few days to a few weeks to become effective.

Cold Laser

Laser therapy is the application of a coherent light. This type of therapy is a holistic, non-invasive, effective way to treat and manage many chronic conditions, like arthritis. The laser beam stimulates the cells and tissues to be healthy. It also reduces inflammation so that healing can begin.

General Surgery

We preform general surgeries such as spays, neuters, growth removals, biopsies, medical shave downs, and much more! Each patient is required to have a health exam before their surgery.

Chiropractic / Accupunture

End Of Life Services

We understand how hard it is to make that end of life decision for your pet. We at LVC will talk you through the process to make your beloved pets end of life experience as peaceful as possible. Private Cremation is one of the options that offer to each of our patients for after life care. We cremate on location. Please call for pricing.

Dr. Jessie Hennessy provides a great alternative care method. Being certified in animal chiropractic and acupuncture, she blends the two with eastern medicine to give the patient the best care possible. Animal Chiropractic focuses on the restoration of movement and promotion and preservation of heath by restoring normal joint mechanics, and soft-tissue function, thus, normalizing neurological patterns that facilitate optimal healing. While animal acupuncture is effective for the treatment of musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, respiratory, urinary, skin, reproductive, neurologic, behavioral disorders, as well as for stress.

Radiology and In-House Blood Lab

Our digital x-ray machine allows us to better diagnose and treat sick and injured pets by providing us with high quality imaging results within seconds. The zoom, contrast, brightness, and other attributes can be easily adjusted and controlled by the veterinarian helping him/her detect abnormalities easily and quickly with a high level of accuracy.

Our in-house blood lab gives LVC the ability to perform important and potentially life-saving blood tests in a matter of 30 minutes or less! We have the capability to customize tests to your pets specific needs to get the most accurate diagnoses.

Ultra Sounds / Echocardiograms

We have a great outside company that comes to LVC called Imaging 4 Pets that we use for our in house ultrasounds and echocardiograms. As soon as we have a patient with these needs, we call the company for their first available appointment time. These diagnostic tools can be crucial in finding a diagnosis.
